The cleanroom facility at the Technical University of Denmark, DTU Danchip, is looking for a process engineer for the lithography team. DTU Danchip is one of the largest open access facilities in Northern Europe for top-down micro- and nanofabrication with a broad spectrum of advanced processing and measurement equipment supporting research, education and small scale production activities in the fields of MEMS, photonics, microfluidics, and biochemistry. The position is permanent.

The position
We are seeking a candidate in the field of e-beam and UV lithography. The main responsibilities include:  

  • Process development and trouble shooting in all fields of lithography processes and equipment.
  • Daily maintenance of our JEOL JBX-9500FSZ e-beam lithography system.
  • Process development and QC work on the aforementioned e-beam lithography system
  • Training of users on the equipment and process development related to e-beam lithography.
  • Training of users on other equipment within UV lithography such as automatic and manual spin coaters, mask aligners, and semi-automatic developers.

The candidate will be working in a close collaboration with other process specialists and technicians in the lithography team, as well as researchers, students, and engineers from DTU and commercial companies working in the cleanroom. 

Qualifications
The successful candidate has a Ph.D. or M.Sc. in either engineering or physics within a relevant field (micro/nano-fabrication, experimental physics or similar) and has profound knowledge and experimental skills within the area of UV and e-beam lithography. A large part of the work day will be spent in ISO 4 and 5 cleanrooms, where full cleanroom suits are worn.

The candidate must prove: 

  • Hands-on experience with e-beam lithography systems.
  • Profound knowledge of e-beam lithographic processes.
  • Hands-on experience with UV lithography.
  • Well-founded basic knowledge in the field of lithography.
  • Deep understanding of the underlying physical and chemical processes in lithography.
  • Hands-on experience in working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Broad overview of micro and nano processing.
